Complementary and Alternative Medicine

In early 2001, the UAE government approved the practise of alternative medicine in the country, and the UAE Ministry of Health (MOH) recognises and regulates it in a systematic manner. Medical doctors and lay practitioners alike will practise alternative medicine if they pass the MOH tests, which cover medical science as well as complementary medicine.According to a DHCC survey, nearly 48% of the UAE population has sought complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), and nearly 55% are satisfied with the outcome. The United Arab Emirates was one of the first countries to incorporate alternative medicine into its health-care system.
